Not really in this case. Mbappe truly has impressed me from the little that I have watched (not highlights).
Seems to me that Dembele's the better passer though, and I don't mean only passes in the box, but even from deep. Which is why Dembele is more suited to a midfield oriented position, while Mbappe is clearly more of a striker.
So, I'd have Mbappe as better finisher by a distance, and stronger player, maybe a bit more developed and closer to world class status, while Dembele is the better dribbler and passer.
Dembele is not a midfielder although he can play there. He is best utilised as a winger where he’ll have more space to create havoc. But I just don’t see Valverde changing his system. He’ll only do it in the games where either Messi or Suárez rests.
Suárez also coming back to form makes it much harder too.
