Not really in this case. Mbappe truly has impressed me from the little that I have watched (not highlights).

Seems to me that Dembele's the better passer though, and I don't mean only passes in the box, but even from deep. Which is why Dembele is more suited to a midfield oriented position, while Mbappe is clearly more of a striker.

So, I'd have Mbappe as better finisher by a distance, and stronger player, maybe a bit more developed and closer to world class status, while Dembele is the better dribbler and passer.

I have yet to see how Dembele does in a midfield oriented position with us. When he played for BVB almost every time he played in the midfield he was lost and invisible, he really excelled when he played on the wings. We will see.

Dembele is not a midfielder although he can play there. He is best utilised as a winger where he’ll have more space to create havoc. But I just don’t see Valverde changing his system. He’ll only do it in the games where either Messi or Suárez rests.

Suárez also coming back to form makes it much harder too.

Dembele will move to RW as usual and Paulinho will be benched. Previously Paulinho played as a second striker, but with Dembele back, Paulinho will be used as a super sub instead. Yes, Suarez as a LW is awkward but I think Valverdeb still wants him as a left striker and Dembele as a right striker/winger. Jordi Alba will be helping the left side as well.

Who said they won't play him in the Copa?

They are marketing the Levante game as Dembele's comeback at the Camp Nou. The CDR game against Celta is in Vigo.
