Lol it will always remain difficult for me to tell if people are being sarcastic over the internet or not. If you guys are actually being serious, watch that 23-minute-video above, from beginning to end. Then we can talk.

Yeah, People here are crazy. Dembele is an incredible talent. He often looked even better than Mbappe last year... He's an incredible dribbler, with an incredible pace. He can beat anybody on 1 step. He has both feet, which makes him basically impossible to stop, good vision, makes tons of assists. He's not a counterattack-only player, he can break defenses too with a pass. He's unselfish. And he's 20 years old. He could be better at finishing, but he has plenty of time to improve on that too.

Of course you people haven't seen it yet at Barcelona, he played like 80 minutes and he's back from a severe injury. Plus he's 20 and he learns to play with his idols. Give him a break. What is he supposed to do ? Score a hattrick for his return ? It's hard to take this forum seriously with so many idiotic posts, but maybe they're mostly jokes, I don't know either.

Playing in the dortmund system is one thing and playing in the barça system is another.
That being said i trust his abilities. He needs to be more daring and trust his speed, technique, dribble and decision making. The rest will follow.

[If you don't get the fact that most of the coments in here about Dembouz are as sarcastic as they get, you should think of retiring from the internet. FYI, it all started in the live chat when Dembele misplaced one pass and anyone begun to scream sell, sarcasticly. Of course we know that he needs time to adapt and that could take months, maybe a year. Except BBZ, who hates the type of player he is and will write you a book to answer why (his dream midfield is probably Rakitić-Fellaini-Arturo Vidal).]

Sell this flop ASAP.

He needs to adapt his game a bit to keep the ball closer to him when he dribbles. That hit and run nonsense isn't going to work here against parked bases.

IMO first he needs to sort out his first touch. He tries to do too much with it and results in lost possession.

In his time at Dortmund he had the tendency to use his first touch to try and put the ball around his defender. That may have worked in the Bundesliga but against parked buses in La Liga where there is no space he can't be trying stuff like that.

It'll work the same in Spain as in Germany, he just needs a bit of time. Most spanish teams aren't better than Bayern and he did that with Bayern too.

He'll get less shy and he'll also get his explosivity back. With big injuries, it takes time to recover. Then you'll see what he can do.

Don't judge a 20 year old back from injury on a few dozens minutes. That's just stupid.

Does anyone remember how Neymar played when he arrived? He wanted to dribble all the time whether he was at the opponent's backline or in the middle of the field. He wanted to show off just like Dembele wants to. This helps gaining confidence. He just has to learn to make the simple decisions. It will also be important for him to get his first goal. Maybe tomorrow?

It's good that he is not shy from showing confidence on the pitch but he should focus on the basics first instead of doing too much with the ball.
