Of course he is the supreme leader. But that can't be said loudly...

Is anyone else a bit worried about whether we can rely on him for next season? He clearly has tons of potential and occasionally shows glimpses of what he's capable of, but still seems too inconsistent and poor in his decision making to expect a full world class season from.

I can see his next season being like Neymar's 13/14 where we see flashes of brilliance and a couple of great performances but also a lot of frustrating moments and disappointing matches. The injury and transfer saga probably set him back a full year in terms of development imo.

Well, he needs regular playing time. France's disfuncional midfield is not very good for him to play next to IMO. I guess we'll need to wait until the next season starts.

Barca does not rely on him for next season, and does not need to rely on him next season. No, I don't see in Dembele what Neymar showed early in his Barca career, but Dembele never has to become as good as Neymar. Dembele is still more hope and potential than demonstrated performance, he has yet to earn big minutes for Barca. Not even close yet to being a top world player.

A friend of mine just argued that he isn't even in top 50 in the world right now. I have to disagree, I really think he will prove his worth next season, albeit I could be worried that he would thrive even more in a club with less possession.

the same demebele i see with barcelona i see with france.. a player who can run with ball fast and has some control over it i admit it.. and..(head scratch) that is that.. can t pass brilliantly, shoot like amateurs and can t score and cant defend and im shocked he starts with france to be frank. everytime he has the ball you feel no goaldcoring threat.

Nobody looks good in current France team. They are boring to watch, which is strange, considering the quality they have.

Pretty much this. The dribble to no end product man. The only way it see him shine is in a counter attacking side where he can use his speed to his advantage. In a possession based team like ours he's useless, subpar in dribbling, passing, and shooting along with giving away alot of possession

He looked good in the last couple of months with us.

Hard to look good with this France side despite the talent. Hell even Griezmann looks like hot garbage so far this tournament.

Not known as his biggest fan on here, but you are going to extremes.

No end product? Check his stats.

While Mbappe is setting the WC on fire, he is sitting on the bench. He is not a generational talent like we thought, maybe the club should cut their losses while they can, they massively overpayed him, he is not worth even half of what was paid for him.

Tbh he didn't even get a proper chance. His role in this France team is to be a Mbappe replacement. France tried both in first game and it didn't work out.

Yeah, Mbappe is a superior player compared to Dembele. But, that doesn't mean Dembele isn't a talent. He is 21 and will get chances in future as well. Not everyone shines at 21.

Plus, France haven't won the WC yet. And Mbappe hasn't set WC on fire, it was just a good performance against a dysfunctional defense.

Yeah, he is a great talent, no doubt about it, but, setting the WC on fire, not yet.

Calma. He is raw but will shine in due time.
