do you have some sort of comparison stats for multiple players? either my tv is broken or i just like dembele's bursts so much. he seems so fast, like he glides over the grass.

he has a unique run style, he looks pretty tall, skinny and gangly but hes like a rocket. sometimes i think his feet are too fast for his own brain

definitely. adama's brain is even worse, unfortunately. imagine a front 4 with adama and dembele on the wings and suarez up top + messi behind him.:worthy:

The next Robinho vs Real Madrid’s future Raul/Ronaldo successor.

Adama is one of my biggest 'regrets' in recent times in terms of unfulfilled talents. I loved/love his brute force and likewise insane quickness but he has a pigeon's brain for a brain. His decision making is shocking which is why he has spent his entire career outside of Barça playing for mighty clubs such as Aston Villa, Middlesborough and Wolverhampton. A shame as I would have loved to see that pace and power being used usefully here. A "desired version" of Adama and Dembele upfront would indeed be a sight to behold.

Adama is one of those guys that is one of the hardest yet easiest to defend against at the same time.

His pace, power and technical ability make it hard to defend against yet his end product are so bad and most of the time it just ends up being nothing. He's improved since he left Barcelona though especially at Middlesborough but just not enough to the point where we should get him back.

It all comes down to what I posted here when asked about him a couple months ago. He's an incredible talent, and what he's doing at his age is very impressive. But a lot of barca fans are biased because of two things:
- They've been spoiled by what Messi did when he was young, and they tend to think that great players must be almost flawless when they're 18. You can't compare everyone to la pulga. He's one of the greatest players in history AND everyone in Barcelona did everything for him to succeed, even since he was a kid. He grew up in a club that built everything around him (rightly so, considering the fact it was obvious he would become such a big star). Dembele's not Messi, obviously, and his situation is... different.
- A lot of them can't forget his price tag. Dembele's not responsible for his cost. He didn't ask to be worth 150 millions. And he clearly wasn't worth such a huge amount back then. His price was set by the market, considering Dortmund didn't want to sell, and Barca had a shit load of money, and were despeate to sign someone to ease the fans. In this situation, Coutinho would have cost 300 millions. Heck, there even were talks about Malcom going to Dortmund (after Dembele's sale) for 50 millions. That was a year before his best season in Bordeaux. But Bordeaux wasn't willing to sell, and Dortmund had a shitload of money to spend, so why not ask for a crazy price and see how it goes ? If somebody sells you a bottle of water for 50 dollars because you're in the desert, you don't blame the water for being expensive.

These two bias don't apply to fans of other teams. They never had a Messi, and they don't really care how much he cost since it's not their team's money. They just appreciate how incredible he can be, and how impressive it is for a player that young.

If we sell him while he keeps performing the way he is right now then we would idiots.

Sure the money we could get from him could land us the Ajax Twins, yet you will still lose your other X-Factor in the front line. Malcom, is a very good talent but Dembele is just a totally different beast altogether.

Guy may be a rebel but it would be quite dumb of us to sell him considering how important he is right now while we keep the other guy in Coutinho who could very well end up like Cesc here if the coach can't find a place for him.

Glad to hear about the fine, big fines are a practical way for the team to go. Fine him, maybe make him wear a dunce cap when he shows up late, put him in the lineup anyway, watch him win games and come-back draws. Hire this very young dude a personal life coach, help him grow up. This might take years or forever, love what he does for the team anyway.

According to Sport Dembélé made a short but respectful speech Monday morning before the training session in the dressing room (I imagine that his speech was given in Spanish which if true is a positive development for his continued integration into the team and BCN as a whole) in front of all his teammates where he apologized for missing the early training session on Sunday and stated that this would never occur again (big promise, I know, lol, but let us hope so, just so we won't have a repeat of the local media going berserk).

Apparently the players appreciated this gesture greatly.
