11 - Raphinha

The team has zero identity, which Is affecting players like him, who excel with a set pattern of play, see leeds & Brazil, he knows his exact role in those teams.

Still a great buy though, just needs time.

I think he was fine In the first half. Not the best dribbler but can easily create space to distribute or shoot.

Clearly a player that works at a higher tempo and a ton of team mates movement.

Don't give him that, and we're not going to play to his advantages- nor to 95% of other pro footballers advantages.

All our buys make no sense really. Only Dembele is a winger who is capable playing outer side of the pitch because his dribbles and speed.

Raphinha works the best when he can combine with other players and cause trouble with his runs etc. He can't make those if he is standing on the sideline.. such a waste of a player.

Btw same goes for Fati and Torres. They need to be way closer to net. Torres can make great runs, but he can't from sideline. Fati used to kill in the penalty area, that's where we need him but they all stand in the sideline. Wasting their skill.

Xavi wants us to play in a way that one of our winger produce something, others are almost useless.

All is a bit of a stretch, don't fall for that line of thinking, Kounde makes perfect sense.

Raphinha was a great market opportunity that we took, he only wanted us, when others came in for him.

Lewa a bit too old, just for 2-3 years, more likey two if we play the right kind of football, he can score 30-40 goals for us, which he's on his way to doing.

We just need Xavi to find a better way to integrate raphinha, what we are doing now isn't using him is best advantages

Torres is a complete waste, we pretty much always play nom closer to goal & the striker when he plays and he always just shits the bed, he's a lost.

Our best wing play this game was the inside run by Balde to almost assist Lewy.

What head fuckery is that.

You nailed it. Balde has the qualities(speed, dribble) these guys lack for a wide winger (Raphinha, Fsti and Torres) and of course Balde lacks the qualities(position runs, finish and pass) these guys have. Haha. It's annoying.

But technically it would help Barca a lot if Balde can make those runs and Torres/Fsti can play closer to net because of it.. not bad.

To be fair.. Ferran doesn't seem to work with any plan, fati is massively underperforming for the expectations, Dembele is Dembele and all we are left with is 34 yo lewa.
Don't expect miracles. This squad is massively overated.

To be fair, Fati is being played out of position. Wtf is he being instructed to hug the sideline when his number one asset is having a killer instinct in front of goal?

We hardly attack from the middle anymore. Through balls with players such as Fati capitalizing on them.

He can play for sure, he does not have support on right side because we don't dven have RB.

That says all about our scouting and targeting players.
