11 - Raphinha

You're basing this after the game against City, I'm guessing? City was two classes better, and yet Raphinha was the only Leeds player, who had a decent game...created a lot of chances, which his teammates just wasted them all. He did have one chance himself, but missed it, so I'll give you that. His performance yesterday was good, considering Leeds didn't have a chance collectively, just whole other world of quality between the teams.
So much more mature in his overall play than Dembele, and I'd bet he'd actually score double digits for us easily, not just double (two) goals. ;)

Time would tell, I see Raphinha being more like Malcom and we saw how Malcom was here (good player but not the quality we needed).

The result is still the same, Dembele beats him in everything bar finishing which i mentioned earlier. We complain about Dembele's bad passes, and he's better than Raphinha in that aspect this season (84% to 68%), same goes for dribbles and creating chances, infact Dembele has being better than him in those aspects in the last 6 seasons including their time at Rennes so you can see where I'm coming from

He plays for Leeds LOL

I certainly have doubts on the success of this transfer. But Raphinha is a better dribbler and technically more suited to short spaces, so he should do fine here. Excelling and being pivotal to our attack (which is what we need) is another question.

BTW, with Evertons win today it has emerged a very strong possibility that Leeds relegate again. Which would activate that lovely release clause.

I think he’d be a top transfer. Especially for the cut price fee should Leeds get relegated. Fully established himself as a Brazil international now too.

How do you justify him being a better dribbler when he has a far lower dribbling success ratio than Dembele which is 68.5% to 43.9% (and dribbling success isn't about team quality cause Adama, Grealish and the likes always had better success ratio in Aston Villa and wherever they were). For passes, his average for the last 6 seasons is 70% and we're trying to pin in on Leeds but that's his average for the last 6 seasons in different clubs (players like Deulofeu, Malcom, Grealish all have better success rates of 77% and above and that's taking account of their previous 6 seasons too in poor clubs like Watford, Aston Villa, and the likes). We'll see how he performs when he gets here but I think he's not up to Dembele and I hope I'm wrong if we sign him.

Adama was one of the shittest transfers at Aston Villa, we dropped him to the U23s and sold him to Championship Middlesbrough.

To be fair although Klopp is a legendary coach at this point, Diaz was fantastic from minute 1.

Simply a top class footballer.

Not at all. Top talents that have the right mentality to hit the ground running in a great team under a world-class manager.

Same as Mane really if you want an example. These players weren't world class at Porto or Southampton. Just very good. Similar to Raphinha at Leeds.

No but Diaz hit the ground running at Liverpool. Wasn’t like he needed time to adjust to the system or league or whatever. Just great from minute 1.

I know he was shitty, was just highlighting how dribbling success isn't really dependent on the club but more on the player's ability.
