11 - Raphinha

I'd change that to positional team rather than static team, compared to possession vs counter attacking.

But yeah, agree with you.

Rafinha has shown what he brings. He may be better under a manager with more offensive ideas. Xavi needed a more individual option which you could possibly put down to his inexperience of his managerial limitations.

But Raphinha will be solid for any tier 1 side, just as Alexis was. But best for us if we can sell and re-invest. Ferran and Raphi provide basic the same benefit. Except Ferran can play both wide positions and is younger.

And we can get decent money for raphinha, we'd struggle to sell Torres.

Seriously? How do you think top 5-6 clubs have 800-1bn assembled squads?
11 starters, each valued at 60m gives 660m

Leaves 340 for 14 players. Average 24m.

And the starters are often worth more. Having multiple 60-70 m backups is extremely rare. They go for it if there’s gonna be competition for the spot, then it’s hardly backup.

Some starters are homegrown.

Foden, rashford, Saka... many examples.

Mudryk, Antony, Havertz, these are bench players usually. 70-100m paid for them. 55m for Tottenham's Brennan Johnson ffs.

Nah all 3 were bought to be starters. Havertz and Antony still are.

They didn't live up to expectations.

Didn’t see you talked about assembled squads. Most of the transfer on the list are fails. Chelsea didn’t pay for Havertz to warm the bench nor did United for Antony.

Felix is a 130m transfer and on loan. Doesn’t mean a thing in relation to Raphinha’s potential departure.

It doesn't matter if they are fails or not. Big EPL clubs can pay 60-70m for a player they like, no issues. For Barca it doesn't matter if raphinha is gonna be worth 60-70m or not.

No one says they can’t. Just that they most likely won’t for a player they don’t see an upside in and buy as backup.

Maybe if he’s crazy versatile.

If Raphinha’s going price is 60 to 70 m, more likely he ends up at some ambitious mid table PL club than at the top.
