11 - Raphinha

Raphinha was an important player for Xavi, but it's also true Xavi and him didn't get along very well until the last part of his last season. It took Xavi some time to find the best role for him. And the constant subbing was just dumb.

Its as simple as that, but people have to be making up non sense.

Even people like us who valued him from day one, while most here was telling us how bad of a signing he was, stated many times we didn't like the way Xavi subbed him early.

But this Pedri take is completely new.

He is saying this because he wasn't regularly starting under Xavi.

In his last season he played like 50 percent of minutes he was available for in La Liga.
🤣 .....why would someone who openly and actively "pushed" to come to Barca want to leave just for playing half of the matches he was available to, if he was not being "hawked" around to other clubs?

Have you read Raphinha's comments shortly before he joined Barca and the one after his signing? . Dude stated it outrightly he wanted to retire at Barca as a legend and ready for all circumstances including working his way into being a legend like other Brazilians (Romario, Ronaldinho, Alves, etc.)

Something must have made him change that radical obsession just after 2 seasons.

Xavi "loved" Pedri so much he cried for Le Celso all the time he had the opportunity to.

No serious person takes Xavi's praises or player evaluation seriously. Hell, even Xavi stated publicly Romeu was as good as Busquet at a point. There was a reason for the reported "constant" clashed with Deco. They no longer trusted his inputs.

His press conferences was a comedy half hour, his antics and tantrums on the line were cartoon like. Common!
Stopped reading when you started claiming Xavi rated Romeu as highly as Busi :lol:💀💀

Lol....I believe simple online check should help answer if Xavi stated that or not. The internet is awash with that quote if you are not lazy to look for it. Can't babysit old adults in diapers

So basically you looked, couldn't find it and posted a crap source to try and validate your opinion.

No, I tried to make you see it was not an opinion. It is up to you to come up with why it was never stated nor existed. If you check online and you cant find such a quote, then you have a win here....but if it was popularly quoted, then you have succeeded in making a fool of yourself here, bro! 😆

Most of those N at the start of the season was sue to being out injured or just coming back from the injury, was always suspended a few games. Also had another injury spell in the middle of the season.

That's why that 50% of game stat can be so easily shaded to look a certain way, without context.

Its taken from Transfermarkt. Last season he played 1300 minutes in the league and they list him as being fit for 2700 of those. Even if we chop off like 500 minutes or something, he was never undisputed starter until this season, really.

Then, before that, Dembele was mostly preferred over him when he was here.
