11 - Raphinha

Why is this guy always angry or feels the need he has something to prove?

Favela background? Unhappy childhood? Can't be bothered to search on the Internet.

I mean it's good to have bronca as a motivator, but in his case it seems to affect his composure more than it should.

Smart move would be to cash in on him in the summer, if he continues with this behaviour.

100mil+ for Raphinha and get Nico for 50 would be a great deal.

He needs to calm down and focus on what he has to do on the pitch. That's all. Don't overcomplicate things. Start with scoring some goals vs Dortmund on Wednesday and all will be fine.

Literally worst time ever to hit a bad patch.

Mbappe has achieved way more than Raphinha ever has or will.

I have never seen Mbappe behave like this on camera. Not even close.

So much more likeable and mature than this wannabe hardman on a purple patch.

The way he disrespected his club captain and manager publicly is disgusting. The likes of Puyol, Terry, Keane, Viera, etc would destroy him if he did this under their watch.

Mbappe and Raphinha are two different personalities, comes with no surprise considering they grew up in different environments, with different people and a different route to success

Mbappe is indeed a very likeable footballer and much more mature, it's probably why he is more successful as well. But that's Raphinha, this very same anger is what fuels his determination on the pitch. It's not something new, we saw these before as well.

Frustration is one thing.

Raphinha is someone that gets swept up in emotions. Raphinha also has huge sense of injustice. Type that won’t pass it back deliberately cause he wasn’t given the pass.

I know these type of people.
Hopefully I am wrong. We need Raphina in form.

But we have seen him lose control at various instances before.

Posted 3 days ago in Lamine thread when I told peepz between lamine and raphinha worry about raphinha.

Called it.

He can still be saved. He needs some introspection. The people close to him could help him move on from this.

He just needs to channel this rage on Dortmund . Probably got mad because he sees Madrid constantly get 6-8 minutes of extra time when they chase a match, and we got 4. Clear corner at the end... nothing...

It's his personality, nobody can save him from himself

Anger is what fuels his performances this season. He was so rattled by the idea of Nico getting his shirt that he started pushing like a madman every game.

He'll take it all out on Dortmund

We saw these under Xavi too, right? When he got subbed and started hitting the bench out of anger?

Yes he’s sensitive I pointed that out. Yes I remember the bench incident.

It's all about his end product. If he gets back to banging goals and assists, people will look at it in terms of him being super-motivated and having elite mentality. If he doesn't... then it will be talked about more in negative light.

Totally up to him to channel it well and put it to good use. Intensity is good, but only if you direct it well. Not on teammates, opponents in press conferrences, or refs. But on gettings things done.

We can talk about Pedri and Lamine being technical and hard to block on the ball, but the one that is supposed to bring the clutch goals in this team... that's him and partly Lewandowski. Get back to that ASAP.

I have faith in him vs Dortmund. Was a monster in the previous round vs Benfica.
