If we ever use it then it would be a 4-2-2-2 formation with Busquets & Mascherano as our double pivot and Messi & Neymar upfront. IMO such a formation could prove to be very useful in away CL games. Offensively we would have to do without either Pedro or Alexis, but in return we would become much less vulnerable to counterattacks. Another benefit is that it makes it harder for other teams to try and neutralize Xavi by gagging up on him, because Busquets will have more freedom to move upfield to support him without running the risk of exposing our back four if we loose the ball. Of course, all of that will depend on whether or not Puyol is on form and playing or not.

I don't see what Alba brings to this team. He's just so horrible defensively and he's not elite offensively. Alves is way better.
Mascherano sure had his hands full, because of Alba. Mascherano had great game though!
