U20 is a very limited batch of players. Shouldn't judge Masche on his results but rather how he likes to play.

First challenge without same U20 generation, he is undefeated and raises to the occasion while beating Brazil in last game.
Maybe there is a good coach somewhere in there.
Won't mind him replacing Marquez as Barca B coach.

He is a good coach

I always thought him and Busquets would make excellent coaches

Messi was his biggest advocate for both U20 and U23 jobs. Him and Scaloni.

Those teams were overrated as it gets, but he was still underwhelming.

It is kind weird, because even back in his playing days, it was reported that Lucho suggested that him and Busquets were the players who has biggest chances of becoming Barca coaches in the future (Xavi was already in Qatar).

Something doesn't add up if all those legends sees something that we don't see.

I understand why they did it but the support that Messi and Scaloni gave to Mascherano is something to criticize them for. Mascherano should have done so much better in the U-20 South America Championship and the U-20 World Cup. The Olympics was the last straw.

At least now, Mascherano won't ruin the future of Argentinian talents and can just chill with Messi and his former clubmates in Miami.

He'll be a nightmare to deal with for the FIFA Club World Cup for Miami though. I am hoping that I am wrong.
