Purple patch is not a good expression. These kids are talented, but it is always gonna take time until they mature and maybe make the step to top class level. This is a given.

Take a look at City, Bayern, Madrid, and tell me how many 17-20 years old starters they have.

The club just needs to be patient and take it step by step. Players like Lamal, Gavi, Fermin, Pedri even, they are at the beginning of their careers.

They are in team on merit and not any younger than some of the other top players in world either bar Yamal.

Bellingham, Musiala could well be their teams best players and are in similar age range.

Yeah, maybe one player like that, not 3-4. Top teams are usually formed with mature players not an abundance of kids. Also, Bellingham is not your normal talented kid you develop, he is a 100m+ player. Dortmund already did most of the developing part, a service for which they billed Madrid for 120m.

Pedri is 21 next month so can really be added to that list and older than Bellingham/Musiala.

Gavi is 19 and a year or so younger than Real/Bayerns best players.

Those two are about the two sure fire starters in Barca team.

Fermin is 20.

Nothing huge in terms of youngsters in Barca team.

It is not about age as much as current performance.

Bellingham and Musiala dont suddnely become worse if Bayern play an 18 year old.. they are still up there as their teams best players or one of.

Lol. Barca have about 5-6 youngsters, most of which some clueless fans here believe could be starters. La-la land. Balde, Pedri, Gavi, Lamal, Fermin.

This only happens because the club can't sign top players in their prime, because those are might expensive.
