16 - Fermín López

NTC with a Positive attitude
My only issue with him starting was the first 20min, he isn't a player who is press-resistant and has a lot of ball control.

But boy he makes it up with his tennacity and the raw dogness. He will fucking hound the opponent on the pitch.
Started to shine when the pitch opened up.

Perfect.

I think he's improved a lot since last year but Flicks's style also suits him a lot better than Xavi's.
Is there anyone really who is better suited for Xaviball?

Most if not all players are tactically thriving currently, bar the deadweight perhaps.

Not our most talented or most skilful player but definitely one of my fav players in our squad. He has the heart of a lion, a pressing demon and a proven goal scorer as a midfielder. Absolutely love him. Can cover for Olmo when injured and will probably be our first sub in alot of games.

Fecked up 3+ counters purely because of lack of ball control, never would've happened with Pedri or Olmo as the 10.
He needs to be subbed. Ideally for Olmo. If not olmo then frenkie and move pedri up even tho he's been stellar so far from deep

Think he did well. First half was always going to be more difficult. I called it on chat that we will improve in 2nd half.

Fermin was important, gave us intensity to match Madrid.

The sub of him changed the game and gave us back control. Kudos to Flick for being ice cold and pulling him at half time, he wasn't the right player for this match
