Was clearly part of the tactical plan to leave him and Araujo on the ball and more and more teams becoming wise to his weaknesses it appears.

Been same from him for multiple games now and having to be hooked for team to improve.

Can't pair him with Araujo (and Kounde triangle). Add Woj behind compared to Pena, and it is the magic rectangle of inadequate passing.

Best game he has had recently was with FDJ beside him. FDJ moves and offers more than any of them.. when fit.

He was taken off early v Getafe, Benfica and now Alaves as was getting bullied a bit and showing little on ball.

Casado would have most likely come on for FDJ had Barca still had 11 men.

With FDJ tiring and Sevilla taking more risks Flick most likely saw Garcia as being the better option to defend balls into the box which were coming more and more.

On Garcia.. mentioned before but he can read balls into opposition area very well and got another goal last night. Third of season and got 5 last season for Girona.

FDJ has been far far better than Casado since Super Cup.

Casado has started 4 games and been off early in 3 of them as team struggling. They won 2 of them after he came off and drew the other.

Frenkie has always been a better player but their contribution to the team is different and Flick uses them in accordance to that

That being said he really wasn't that bad this half, as will probably be portrayed especially if Frenkie comes and turns this game around
