Focus of Basque defense as is the case most matches, big difference yesterday was that in support on that right flank he lacked Jules. Fort offered nothing on that right side, isolating Lamine

Kounde's only had one assist this season. I don't remember any memorable pre-a's either.

We should never depend on Yamal to beat two or three defenders solo to make goal contributions. It's not his fault he didn't make a goal contribution. It's amazing what he's done so far with the 'support' around him.

He's still a kid without experience. Being 3-0 up after 30 mins against an opponent that's much worse on paper affects his mind and makes him think it's all done and dusted. It's only natural it happens but he needs to keep working hard even if games are easy.

Still only 17 and it's important he doesn't feel like he's already too good, then he won't keep developing.

I like that he motivated (Or was motivated by teammates/Flick) to go out onto the pitch to applaud the traveling supporters at the end of the match - his body language suggested he was going through the motions but glad he got out there

Lamine Yamal: "Hansi asked me why I was disappointed to go out, I told him it was a disappointment because of my match, I could have played better."
Good. He's level-headed. However in the heat of the moment when he saw he was going to be subbed I'm sure he was a little upset with Flick even if he kept that to himself.

After a bit of reflection it seems he understood why that was a good move from Flick in the end.

All offensive players need to listen to Hansi. He may have issues like all managers do, but strictly speaking, for the offensive players, he is a godsend. His style is everything wingers and attackers love.

It's defenders that are under more pressure and have a more difficult job to do than before, for them Hansi Flick's football is challenging as he demands a lot from his backline.

Has the mentality of a an all time great.

People who think a few little injuries can get this guy off the stage are being delusional.

There would need to be a massive fuck up to his physique and a huge ass injury for him to even be questioned as the leader of his football generation.

This is what Adidas knows. This is what PSG knew when they offered 200 milion for him. This is what GOAT level footballers that praise him know as well.

He's not a passing fashion.
