What we need is a player that can play on both wings and is comfortable staying out wide. Someone like sterling, di Maria, etc(talking about profile)

Yup agreed. We talk about how other players can't duplicate what he does , but I think that's a false premise to operate in. We don't need someone as good obviously , we just need someone who can play as a winger period.

The winger doesn't have to be great , just an above average or average winger will be okay to replace him now and then, with the rest of the team picking up the slack. The problem is we have NOBODY, not even raphinha , who is a natural winger that runs at their defender and holds width.

If you had someone like Cuenca for example , you could play him there and ask him to hold width. He wouldn't replicate lamines brilliance but at least we have a winger and the whole teams structure and play doesn't have to suffer as much. You could ask Olmo , raphinha and pedri to be more creative.

It's shocking how this club never has more than 2 wingers in the entire squad that that are actual wingers. It's been that way for years now.
