He isn't in top 5 young players of all time. Dunno about top 10.

You lot are exaggerating.
1) Pele
2) Ronaldo (Brazil ofc)
3) Messi? (idts)

How many other players have had a better sub 18 career given his stats and accolades both at the club and international level? Like is he going to have their trajectories 100% who knows but in terms of how we tend to measure greatness in team sport (individual brilliance / production + trophies) he is definitely up there. I'd reckon theres a chance he tops Pele since he doesnt turn 18 until around the world cup final next year since he already has the Euros hehehe

Yeah, no - but he actually is. 17 years old and bossing in Euros and than carrying Barca in most difficult games? Messi wasn't there at 17.
But than again, Yamal won't equal or surpass Messi - nobody will in at least my lifetime.

I would love to see that top 10 list.

What player at 16 and 17 (recently turned) was already the main man for both club and country and winning important titles to go along. It isn't just a question of skills, but of how impactful and indispensable he is at his age. He is the established torchbearer for both club and country and has done it while being a snotty teenager with braces.

It's ridiculous.

Definitely definitely top 5.

Could say #1.

Any other player was top 3 players at a major tournament at 16?, I don't think so.

If it gets to 18, you then include Pele and what he accomplished, but who is to say yamal won't do the same?.

He doesn't carry this team in its most difficult games. In fact, when we lost/drew he was mostly at the same level as anyone else.

He is a special talent. But the greatest young talent ever? Stop smoking crack.

If memory serves me right, we have literally not lost a game with him this season.

And we've lost around 5 without him starting.

If that's not carrying the team I don't know what is.

Their is no difficult moments when he plays

How can anyone say they have seen a better young talent than Yamal when for example Messi had barely even played a game with Barca at a similar age. It's unprecedented.

At 17? Maybe.

Messi wasn't a regular in the first team at 17.

But if we are talking talents and young players in general, Messi and fat Ronaldo were better. Yamal doesn't have the ability or talent Messi and Ronaldo had.

Messi was unstoppable, rapid and dribbling past numerous players in a row. Messi didn't even have to think about how he was going to beat players. He just did it naturally and instinctively as he started running with the ball every time.

Stats wise he is,

Ability wise, Messi, Maradona, R9 all clear him. Though not by much, at 17.

He’s insane.
Simply saying Messi barely debuted at 17. While Yamal did at 15. Nobody has seen that. I can definitely agree Messi was maybe or probably better at the same age. But still he is up there no matter what.

He was able to create for creampie, similar to the way Messi's been able to get non-amigo teammates at Miami to maximize their potential. Yamal's tempo's similar to current Messi since he slows play down and taps into creativity rather than speedy Bayernball to score. Really refreshing to see and even if Messi shouldn't come back to Barca if they played together no words to describe the magic. Yamal's doing much better now than I thought he would when he first started. Looks like mostly his confidence was what was holding him back and I think he'll become more confident still as is true for pretty much any 17yo.

Yet, he could’ve had an even more impressive overall performance were it not for a few moments of forcing things or the RFEF reminding the world how corrupt it is - saving that ball on the touch line but being ruled out was madness (right in front of the assistent referee as well)

Spain is rigged against Barça, for decades
