19 - Lamine Yamal

His way of controlling the ball is not the way of a game manager. He can be more mobile or dominant in time but he will disappear as a manager under stress because his short fused ball control forces him to play risky passes or boring passes and that isn't very good in high intensity games. We have Pedri who is a game manager but we need a more advanced one to make the game less chaotic and make space for Lamine.
go watch Curling or some Baseball, he is obviously the best playmaker in the world right now, he plays as a winger but he is not a Winger like Nico Williams, Vini or Saka ....i'm pretty sure he will evolve into a more 'messiesque' position soon enough, it's obvious.

I predict that if he is not getting his shit together he might be replaced once his effectiveness is not that great and his age is not going to support the fantasy that he will get more talented.
For now his sparks are more than enough to cover for his failures in many aspects of the game. He is a bit predictable in movement for a youngster, very disciplined and with a good touch on the ball, but he starts to not be, to think he is a star.
He has 2 great teams that use his sparks very well. He is talented but nowhere the wonder weapon area.

He has great passes, that is not running a game. Pedri is running the show even with his flimsy frame.

More of a Cr7 player.
Sadly he is not going to dictate games from what can we see for now, but produce sparks.
So naturally we need a play friendly winger on the left not another runner, flicker and for sure we don't need another player with nigger syndrome. Already Balde and Lamine are enough.
Raphinha is more a right winger too or a spark player and many times our game is descending into chaotic brawls for the ball.
Moving Raphinha on the right just made our game look more logical.
I still believe missing on Endrick was the fuck-up of the century for Barcelona. He would have made the perfect fit, solved many limitations of Yamal and Raphinha in the future. Now we need two players and I will start with the striker.
I don't think this is true he is 17 and sure he has a lot of games but he literally determined this match today. He isn't expected or tasked with being Messi right now. Let's wait and see what happens as he matures.

I don't expect wonders and to be Messi, the bartomeians will hunt his head for that latter, but I expect from him to ducking pass the ball to Raphinha in a game that was 1-0 and the team made a huge effort and a perfect tactical game to offer themselves a quiet endgame.
It's so disrespectful for the team effort and he is starting to fuck with his education received from his mother.
Without that he will pickpocket along his father in Barcelona or Marocco.

Raphinha did the same thing at another point in the game. They want to be match winners it happens.

Sure, but only one is a youngster sold as the next big thing and will probably receive a huge salary. I don't think we afford a second Ansu or Dembele.
The other is a pleasant surprise this season, after it was written off as a failure. He is a mature player that is not going to become better.
Both responsible but Is useless to make rants about Raphinha. You can sell him if he fucks up badly and nobody will cry, but this guy starts to have a cult around him and I see some scary things in his play and attitude.
I don't think we can win UCL with this attitude from both of them. Imaging playing with chances against Real, Inter or Bayern. Not going to end well.

The Pale One
He played like a true number 10 tonight. Dribbling opponents, good shot attempts, silky runs, perfectly weighted through balls (one ended in goal), all the tricks in the book, nutmegs, backheels etc.

He played like a semi-prime Neymar. At 17 YEARS OLD.

The only thing stopping him from becoming the best player in the world is a horrendous injury (God forbid).

How can anyone that has seen Lamine play as often as a Barca fan, compare him to Palmer or anybody else for that matter? His cameo vs Osasuna was outrageous.

People laughed at me when I said months ago that he was better than Saka and Salah. Some said he wasn't even as good as Dembele !

Every few months he is making me move UP my expectations for him. HE IS, AS I WRITE THIS MESSAGE TODAY, CLEARLY THE BEST FOOTBALLER IN THE WORLD. I don't care what age he is. NOBODY IS BETTER THAN HIM.

I don't need to wait before he scores 30 goals a season or before he does it against Madrid or in a UCL knockout, because it is categorically clear to me that those things are only a matter of time.

The Ballon D'ors are going to flow for him. I've moved my level up for him to be amongst the greatest 50 footballers OF ALL TIME by the time he finishes his career. Some will laugh at that, but they also laughed months ago when I said he was better than Dembele, and then Saka, then Salah and they were wrong.

As you can see from the above, I thought he was the best player in the world many months ago. So you can see that, compared to most, I rate him exceptionally high. However, watching him today, he astounded even me, who rated him so highly before.

He has made me raise the bar AGAIN for where I think he will finish his career.

From Top 50 of all time, I now expect him to be one of the Top 25 footballers in history when he finishes his career. How far he will go will depend on the progression of his finishing. He sorts his finishing out and he could break Top10.

Amen! At this point in time, number 1 spot in terms of ability and magic is between baby 🐐, papa 🐐 and 🦟

If he keeps evolving, sky's the limit. Top 10 all time not a stretch barring injuries or he gets bored cuz game's just too easy

Insane talent 🤯

His first touch where he deploys the ball in space leaving defenders in dust instead of controling it and waiting reminds me a lot on ronaldinho. What a special talent
