When I first saw messi at the U-17/20 world cup, i knew immediately he would be a generational talent.

When I saw yamal with the youth team and spain U-17.

I said he reminds me of peak marhez, not super fast but great dribbling and technique, i thought if he could get to that level and he's free, it would be a blessing for the club.

I doubt anyone thought the little bastard could genuinely be the best player in the world at 17 and will definitely be by 19.

Overrreactions aside, he should have been subbed for not defending while providing nothing upfront in this match. This is not something you can afford to do in these games. If you save energy for offense, fine, but you have to make a difference up front and he did neither today. Didn't count offensively, didn't defend much.

He was pretty bad vs Betis also. Best way to take it easy if you're tired is to be rested on the bench.
