Yamal has been increasingly playing the role of playmaker these days. If you see his positioning, a lot of times you'll see him in the RCM role, while Kounde is up the pitch.
Having Raphinha in the RW won't work cuz there won't be space for Kounde to overlap and our left side will be thin.
Yamal is able to do this because the opposition rarely presses him while in the RCM role. We can use the left side to overload the pitch, and Yamal has the creative acumen and lack of press to pick out his passes or lofted balls.

On an individual note - Lamine is without a doubt the best U20 player on the planet. Barca as a club have to do their utmost to fulfill his potential.
