If a 17.5-year-old male is 180 cm tall, he is likely close to his maximum height, but there is still a small chance he might grow a few more centimeters if his growth plates (epiphyseal cartilage) have not fully closed. This depends on several factors, but by age, the likelihood of significant growth is already low. To check if the growth plates are closed, medical methods, particularly an X-ray examination, can be used. Here's how it can be done:

  1. X-ray Examination: The most accurate way to determine if the epiphyseal plates are closed is to perform an X-ray, which will show if there are still gaps between the bones in the area of the growth plate. If these areas are still open, it means that growth is still possible. If the gaps are closed, it indicates that growth has ended.
In the X-ray, you can see how the cartilage gradually turns into bone tissue. This will appear as the fusion of bones on the image.
The growth plates close at different times in various areas of the body (e.g., hips, knees, or elbows). They usually begin to close around 16-17 years of age in males and are generally completely closed by the age of 20.

If still OPEN - sell.

If he grows a few centimetres more move him to the central role (will happen either way) he can play there with a little height, his immense creativity and playmaking ability shall enable him to do

Either way he's not getting sold and I wish some guys finally made peace with the fact. Yes you are going to suffer a new little dictator at this club, he will win you trophies, beautiful football and glory and only you will complain at the end... it's a sad story.

Lamine Yamal: "The treble? Since the beginning of the season I have always aspired to everything... You have to believe in yourself, because if you say another team is going to win, why would you even go on the pitch? So yes, we will win the treble. We are Barcelona."

Gangsta cursed us

He's hungry now, he wants to win everything, he's basically a Barça fan who suddenly turned into its most important footballer

With time, he will ease on it. Maybe he will be more careful with promises as well - when the game inevitably humbles him a few times and he gains experience

I take it as a positive that we have a squad this hungry and eager of winning. They are young, it's how it should be

He's 17 and Football fans are ruthless.

We all know that if Barca fail to win the treble, Madrid fans would rub this quote in his face for months to come.

And Yamal is 17 and probably addicted to social media and can't stay off it. So this can result in mental health problems due to constant trolling and possibly racism by Madrid fans and haters on social media.

But on the other hand if Barca win a treble, this quote will get legendary status and it'll be a great moment for Yamal.

It's a very risky quote for a 17 year old either way. Good to see the self-belief though. I'm just being pragmatic, rational and boring about this.
