I hate to comment on this page because many here have become so touchy and infantile to any call for prudencce rarionality in expectations, at least until consistency is acheived.
He has had some off-day matches recently no doubt, but I felt the bigger issue he has is the 'burden of expectations'. He is still very young but ascribing GOAT like status to him in just one season at the top flight football as many have done here over the few months is something else.
I undertand the club needs a star figure to project their superiority in approach(la masia) especially when you are broke and are left to put up bums, but pinning the hopes of an institution such as Barca snd building the future around a 17 year old not fulky proven yet is beyond comical. Even people that were more talented than him were not cloaked with some appellations I read here until they have showed the world what they can do CONSISTENTLY. There are even many here that have suggested that the most compelling reason to buy Nico Williams is because he is friends with Yamal. Imagine???
I hope he learns and gets better with age. I also pray he is surrounded by good advisers as he progresses. If he is not submerged by the weight of expectations people are putting on him, he will come out very very good. Whether he will be a great should only be left to posterity.

Flick deserves a lot of credit but his treatment of Yamal's minutes is awful, have been saying since the start of the season. Not just that he played too much for a kid, he played too much for a grown man in his prime. We had dozens of games where we had 3+ goal lead and he never took him off. Looks like he is already getting the "Messi treatment" where he can decide when he rest or not. We knew it will happen with his quality but I hoped that not at 17 years old.
