Eh, if he was a more athletic and fast player, I would say that he will become one of the best central players in history.

The quality of his broadcasts and IQ are extremely high. But the speed, the athleticism...

By the way, he looks a little chubby, maybe he needs to work on his body more.

You have taught me that being a glass half empty kind of guy, doesn't half make life a struggle.

Cheers ... :jack:

Cubarsi seems fine on an Athletic and pace aspect IMO. Sure he's not Araujo in that regard but he's no Lenglet nor Pique in terms of slugglishness either.
He'll also get better with age on that segment for sure. Stronger and faster. I mean still 18 years old, shouldn't be expecting him to bully grown ass men in duels. Until then he can use his intelligence to cope with those attackers and use his other attributes to make this team better, which he so far is doing and at a really good level.

18-year-old professional athlete. In terms of speed he is at his peak, he can improve but very little in terms of speed.

Has he even been bullied by an obviously faster attacker? His pace is fine, far from worst in the squad.

I'm not worried. Not being a sprinter just forces him to focus on other ways of stopping attackers. Just look at Araujo.

Besides, we still have to find his long term partner who can complete him.
I've seen Dean Huijsen's name been mentioned here, not sure how good he is though.

Huijsen is a beast. But he actually ha skills. He will be Cubarsi's long term partner with Spain.

Very good. He’ll end up Spains CB for sure. For some reason Juve decided it was a good idea to let him go and within six months want him back.
Think he’ll have the choosing of a lot of big clubs in the near future.

It sounds atractive, 2 young CBs who could be partners for 15+ years in club and country but right now we have other bigger holes to fill and it will be impossible to get him after he leaves Bournmouth, I think City or Madrid could get him this summer.

That is what impresses me most about him to be honest. Despite not being athletically gifted he's still able to defend incredibly at a very young age which tells us he has extremely high game IQ and defending skill.

Cubarsi plays in very aggresive way and is clever with it.

Defends like an Italian on that regard at times.

Very clever in way if he is getting rolled he will either win a foul or give one away and run off with arms up as if did nothing wrong.

Top top class and would walk into any team in the world and they would pay a fortune.
