There are options there to cover these games.

Ferran can play AM if need is for more presence in box beside Lewa

Pedri can play there if Gavi can hold form in beside FDJ.

Fermin at AM or from left and Raphinha in there.

A lot of options.

If he does well in crucial CL matches his signing can't be considered a failure

If he's unavailable in the most important games though (El Clasico, hypothetical CL semis and final) then for me it is

Not flop, but a failure. He was still great most of the time when available but not worth the money if we can't have him in most important moments.

Lol.....Ferran at AM? Tell me that is some joke. No sensible Coach will be that disillusionary, anyway.

He has been coming on to play that SS/AM plenty.

Calma.
Lol..... dont mistake his tracking back to take passes and tap them back as any skill worth looking at for a SS/AM. Playing AM is beyond running tap backs. No one has used him in AM role. Not in this season(Maybe Xavi did). He comes in to support from the wings and allowed to cut onto space from there or used purely as a striker.

Ferran, this season, has 16 percentile in shot creating actions, 26th percentile in progressive passes(one of the lowest in La liga), 10th percentile in successful take on( less than average for most La liga attackers), 5th percentile in progressive carries(the lowest on for all attackers in top half of La liga) 13 percentile in passes attempted and 75.7% pass completion rate. Only a Coach who just began work yesterday or someone who thinks AM is all about running around aimlessly and simply doing tap-backs, will consider that a good profile for an attacking midfielder. 😆

Tell me you simply wanted to entertain us here with that suggestion to make up for the rather drab match. 😆 🤣

Fake news.

Wait and see.

O
Too late.
😆 🤣... only you could think a player that has the poorest successful take on rate in the entire team, lowest pass completion rate among the attackers(bar Pau Victor who has been playing much less ), lowest successful dribbles, zero key passes and multiples of missed scoring chances will suddenly become a go-to player for an AM role at Barca. You must be a comedian in real life, right?
