Tielemans is clear of both mate, much better passing selection and can control a game. Tonali is good when he has time on the ball but flaps under pressure. Dropped a straight 2/10 at Villa park 6 days ago.

Emery tax is of course a possibility but Tielemans was highly rated before he had the relegation season at Leicester.

Whenever I see him play, I see a good player having a great season, more so than a great player, maybe great is not the right word, but I don't see a player with a super high ceiling

But I've always seen that with Bruno and Tonali.

But I'll play closer attention the next time I see Villa play, maybe I'm missing something, he did cook in the last game vs Newcastle though for sure

Madrid would’ve been better off trying to get hold of Neves before PSG snatched him.

How they missed this is beyond me.

Folk think they see Pirlo with Tonali I swear but his progressive stats on ball are terrible this season.

I think that tuna can has caused Madrid some financial issues.

They basically seem to rely on freebies with the odd teenager once a year or two for bigger money.

Yeah but they would get good money for a lot of their players if they wanted to.

Their business plan for last few years seems to be.. contact who they see as best in position years in advance and tell them they will sign them if run contract down. While trying to sign the next big thing for squad.

Left them with unbalanced squad.

It is easier place for PSG to get players from also as a step up.

apparently Neves didnt even want to go but Benfica more or less forced him into it saying needed the money.

Madrid seem to prefer to look at France for their midfield and defensive needs. Atleast since the Flo-Mendes relationship went sour.

Problem there is that France tends to develop a certain type of midfielder these days. And the last two they got from there so far haven't really been successes, and are not close to Kroos or Modric in any way. Mind you we too took a while to move on from Xavi/Ini/Busi. It ain't easy when you stick to a profile and style si o si.

While Tchoumeni incredibly expensive and far from the player their fans were sold.

Zubi would be a move in the right direction. Would be good under Xabi I am sure. And Xabi himself will set up a little bit more modern than Lotti.

Tielemans is the real deal. Has been since his Monaco days. Zidane is an admirer.

Tielemans is good.

His reported bad attitude at Monaco probably haunted him even after Leicester move.

There was analysis of him being quite lazy at times for Leicester also.
