20 - Dani Olmo

Everyone here doubting the best attacking midfielder in the world.

Yes, he’s injury prone.

But he doesn’t take long to ramp up when he’s back. Kinda like Robben in this regard.
Has he ever played at the best attacking midfielder level bar Euro 2024? I don't think so.

Olmo 23/24 Bundesliga: 21 matches 1456mins
Olmo 24/25 La Liga: 18 matches 910min

So even when he gets back and plays all most matches it's hard to repeat his last season's league minutes.

It does not seem like an improvement.

No surprises really. Club knew who they are buying and still thought he's worth 60m when struggling with SCL. Unlike Dembele who had no injury history before joining.

20/21 (his first full season at Leipzig) was the only one he had no injury problems. Played 2.200 minutes in BL.

Since then:

21/22 - 740

22/23 - 1.284

23/24 - 1.456

So averaging 1.160 minutes (out of 3.060 possible, so less than 40%) in last three seasons. And he'll probably end up somewhere around there this season too.

As I've said when we signed Dani I like him as a player and when he was fit he usually delivered but I would never spend big money on player who is not even available for half a season.

Yet you're defending Fati who's always injured.

Barca didn't buy an injury prone Fati, they bought Olmo.

I understand situations like the ones with Fati or Umtiti or Dembele, that happens to everybody. The club couldn't know that they will be injured all the time. They knew with Olmo...

Yeah but the thing with Olmo is that when he is fit he'll contribute G/A and make the difference.

😆 🤣 😂.....@ "best attacking midfielder in the world"

Would be interesting to know where you get these accolades or how some of you arrive at them.

He had already a lot of injuries but dont forget he won us already important points in ll and if he performs in cl matches, even if he comes as sub and contribute to 1-2 goals he was worth his money imo, he can become our Gareth Bale!

Shhh!! You are trespassing. This is not a page to display any intelligent rationalisation as you have above.

Only emotions and myopic reasonings are allowed here.

I think he also missed 4 or 5 games because of all that registration kruffefle.
Club knew what they were getting. Hope the new training routine and test might be the secret. And also a full summer rest and training.
