I think their midfield is strong enough. Banega is underrated. He is a great player, with him and Pastore Argentina will not lack creativity like in the WC, where they expected everything from Messi. They also have the little beast Mascherano to cover them.

Yeah, watched first 2 games and was happy with the atmosphere and passion but football department left a lot to be desired.

True. Banega has reborn at Sevilla. Tremendous season. Top performance.

It might be a problem against teams which have very good midfield but i don't think any team in the tournament has that good midfield.

No one has a great midfield in this tournament with the possible exception of Chile who has more midfield chemistry. I don't think anyone can dominate their midfield but Argentina back 4 has always been susceptible to pace especially within it's fullbacks.

Yeah Kun will start, but it's true he has been poor for Argentina for about a year now. Injuries certainly don't help though.

I am sure they will not play a high defense line. Masch will help organizing the defense such that they wont be harassed by quick counters. Pace only works well against high defense lines. You need more than that to get past organized defenses.

I think Tata plays a high line.

In regards to Kun, he haven't showed up for Argentina at all, neither has Tevez for that matter, his style of play always seem to clash with Messi. Higuain has actually been the most reliable scorer he just doesn't deliver when it matters. A guy from Argentina told me before when Messi isn't there, those guys actually play better. It not that Messi is hindering them but they defer too him too much.

Pastore a big question mark for Argentina. If he finds his space with Messi (both players tend to thrive in the same zone) then magic can happen.
Looking forward to Tevez as well.
