Of the four CLs they won I think he scored in two semi final matches and in one of four finals when ball thrown at feet.

3 out of 4 semi finals in the years they won the CL.
CR7 also scored in 3 out of 4 semi finals...and yes, he scored more, but Benz scored at critical junctures. He and Bale weren't AS important as CR7 obviously but they were plenty clutch.

In Benzemas time with Ronaldo Real played in 14 semi final matches and he scored in 3 of them.
They played 4 finals and he scored in 1 of them when Karius threw ball at his feet.
That is 18 games that he scored in 4 of for CLs semis and finals.
Granted he did not play all minutes in all ties but that just backs up the idea he was not seen as World Class at that time or important player.

Benzema scored in two of the 8 semi final matches when they won it. Double in one of them.
He was important to way they played but to make out he was prolific/regular in semis and finals with goals is not true.

Didn't score vs AM, but he made the goal 90%.
Besides, in 2016 Madrid was really shit in attack, basically scored from an own goal vs City and an offside goal in the final. And in 2017 it was the Ronaldo show.

Its true that Benzema being the focal point has helped him shine more individually, but we still score significantly less as a team than when Cristiano was here, and when Bale was still good.
So, Benzema scoring and assisting nearly all our goals can be a problem, we would be better as a team if we had another consistent performer in attack.

Him and Lewandowski have maintained quite the level into their 30s while Suarez is absolutely finished
Not quite, still able to be clutch in la liga.
