I think with Messi going you need to put guys like Demir and Nico in the starting lineup, just to give a bit of hope of future players to the Barca fans.

This would've been better than what happened. Demir instead of Puig - a headless 4-2-3-1 once more

I can somewhat understand Alba , Busquets and even Pique (since Mingueza and Garcia aren't back) , but starting Roberto is an absolute travesty. If anything he should be getting the Moriba treatment.
