Dude, he won't "shine" in Barca or any other top club. Frenkie and his agent need to get a grip and a reality check - maybe they have and that's why they're hell bent on seeing the contract out because he sure as fuck wont get even half of what he makes here. On top of it all, he plays with a "discomfort" for almost a year. My guess he'll end up in an Italian club like Milan, Inter or maybe Juve after he runs out his contract here and he'll be offered like 10M.

90 million barca could have used for two top midfield talents or a WC striker.
Fatporta sure gets away with not being able to sell players.

Kind of hard to sell players that don't want to leave. It's not like you drug him, put him on a plane and that's it, he's gone. Xavi did try to sell him to make room for other players 2-3 years ago.

As soon as we figured out he can never play DM, and that he is not a good box to box player either... he should have been sold. We tried, but often there's this problem. Barcelona being a very sought after club to play for is also to our detriment. It becomes difficult to sell players, especially once you add their wages in the equation. That's why wages and club culture are huge issues. It attracts players looking for a comfy club to spend their careers at. That's what we are for De Jong. A cozy luxury club to live a happy life at.

Don't think it as impossible as a year ago, this is the first time that Frenkie has a reason to leave, we'll see what he does now. Of course he didn't leave when he was a starter, now we will see if he values playing time or money more.
