FDJ did make good defensive plays vs Rayo.
But there was also a couple of defensive lapses, Voluntarily and not near the end of game where exhaustion can be an excuse.
Given his situation and status and shitty defensive history and reputation on the team, he should have 0 blatant and obvious defensive lapses going forward to try to redeem his salary.
His occasional AND Voluntary defensive lapses could easily killed Barca again when the titles are on the line like he has done many times in the past.

His offside for the goal was an error other than that he defended well.

Takes 25 second in for him to have worked hard and won ball back x3.
He was constantly running putting pressure like that.
He will have moments switches off a bit... every single DM does.
If you genuinely can watch that and think he was 'lazy' defensively today then.... if I speak.

He was clearly very good bar that 20mins or so in first half when all bar Pedri dipped.
Usual folk with no clue though.
FDJ with Pedri awas easily 2nd best in that second half and used by Flick to beat press and cover Fort.

FDJ was one of Barcas best players you muppet but yes that was poor moment..most of them had at least one of those.
I'll give credit to Frankie for contributing in breaking the press. I just don't see enough intensity from him defending.
You say we can play without defensive type of midfielder but truth is those who fill that role in other clubs are more sturdy type. Frenkie needs to toughen up

Dont agree - he was showing a lot of intensity tonight.
Watch those highlights he is constantly pressing and helping win ball back.
Night and day to when came back before xmas when he was wary of contact etc.
The issue he has is at times he is not a natural DM and can switch off a bit but for effort and how much win ball back tonight he was Barcas best player at it.
He was massive part in solving the build up tonight also and never stopped heloing to cover for Fort.
