^ And to add to this, you realize that FDJ is also coming back from a long term injury? Why not bring it up? Or does it only apply to Gavi?

No one, not even Gavi's mother or agent, would agree with this
She definitely does lol.

It's cool.

Time will prove me right again.

Also a ACL injury is a totally different thing to a ankle Sprain.

ACL is a 18-24 month injury for a player to return to top form.

People were calling VVD trash after he came back from his ACL injury for almost the entire season.

More lies about it taking 2 years to come back from ACL.

Gavi rules.

See likes of Xavi, Keane and Wirtz.

That is Wirtz who these lot also think Gavi is better player than.

Just complete and utter nonsense as ever.

Van Dijk came back at start of 21/22 season and by end of that season was in EPL PFA team of the year and UEFA team of the Year.

Once again proving have zero clue what talking about.

Just waffling nonsense as think it sounds a good excuse for Gavi being poor and making up 'it takes 2 years'.

Gavi can only get better from here.. but it is still an excuse for now.

Look, I don't hate Gavi, he could become a very good player in future, but right now he isn't showing it. Pedri, FDJ, Olmo, Fermin and Casado are adding more quality to the team than he is. The best thing for him is to go on loan to a club where he won't be as protected as he is here, so he can understand what he is supposed to do on the pitch. Right now he gets hyped for committing fouls which is pointless. Let him accept that he isn't good enough right now and become better, rather than continuing on the path he is on

Agree to disagree.

Loan Gavi, what.

They wont loan him they will try to play him back into some form. He isnt getting minutes based on performance at moment but Flick has shown that is how he operates and it has paid off with others.

Bit harsh on likes of Fermin and Torre at times but thats the way it is for now.

Sport reporting now that contract offered would NOT be 18-19m fixed as currently is due to deferrals but that would be the total based on performance bonuses also.

Effectively he would be in that case on more or less the same 15m annual salary across current contract and similar bonuses that could take it up to 18/19m

The club would be willing to comply with Frenkie's economic conditions, as long as the total amount to be received is linked to sporting performance. In other words, Barça would insure a fixed part to the player less than he receives now, but would increase the variable emoluments (games played, titles won...) to match the current figure.

Effectively if that is correct he would be back to 15m or so annual salary prior to bonuses if the assumption is those bonuses are similar to the previous contract signed.

You're welcome
no way he would not renew. Also 100% sure he'd do it against lower wages. There is no other team he'd want to play for. Don't think he enjoys playing in cold English weather either. And with how good of work coach is doing with team chances of him wanting to leave only dwindling.
predicted back in October. You'd almost think I am good judge of character.
