I wouldn’t pay a ton of money for him... if they want anything more than 10-15m I would just wait and he can come for free next season.

I don't blame him for not wanting to stick around at City.

Pep clearly likes him but not enough to the point where he still wants to spend big on someone like Koulibaly, who is in his prime and he would be still be playing at top level for another 3-4 years. There's no way he's going to wait around that long especially when your boyhood club came back calling for him.

He's going to have a easier time considering Pique is 33, Umtiti is crocked to shit, Longlegs who is undoubtly a starter and Araujo would actually compliment him as well as he's the Athletic CB of the group.

Let's hope he starts tonight. The last PL games should indicate that him and Laporte are Pep's main CB's. Big test and experience if he does.

He isnt isn't the biggest CB that's for sure.

He is really really short for a CB. Yes Puyol and Mascherano but they were outliers. Puyol had an insane jumping ability.

I also reading from City fans that he is slow and weak. Very worrying.

Im not too excited about this. And for 30m which is what City want hell no. 20m is also probably too much. 10m yes - low risk high reward.

Either let him stay a year in City and get him for free in 6month or City accept 5-10m now.

30M sounds like way too much considering the circumstances. City already bought another CB and even publicly announced Garcia won't renew, with only one year on his contract. Even without Coronavirus crisis 30M would be a lot.

Thats like the best possible position for negotiations, better not get robbed for once.

He's not "really really short".

184 Ramos
183 Garcia
183 Thiago Silva
183 Marquinhos
182 Umtiti
178 Puyol
174 Mascherano

I wonder if he can be a DMC. Obviously Pep won't try him their with Rodri and City lacking CBs this past season. But with Busquets reaching his twilight it might be an option if he is consistently struggled at CB.

Hopefully we can keep a fee to 20m or less. Anything more and you can get a CB with more first team experience like Maga of Lille.

But you can't complain about signing a player like this. A player that Pep wants to keep at City, and is currently starting, can only be a good signing.

I'm not suggesting he will reach Pique's heights, but Man Utd fans used to say Pique was average, slow and turned like an oil tanker when we were rumoured to sign him. So I wouldn't dig too deeply into this detail.
