He played a lot during Preseason and before the Atletico match + two international matches For Belgium.
Actually I'd Argue he played way to much in a short span of time after spending a year out of the Game
we need to use him more carefully sadly.
I want him playing or on the Bench, Mathieu Deserves to rot on the stands if he continues to play like he has.

We should consider promoting Adria Villanova from Juvenil B's bench and just terminating Mathieu's contract. At least when Adria screws up we can say it's because he's young

Mathieu is shot now and I don't think his Barca career will ever recover. Even an untested first team debut for a youngster has to be a better option

No it isnt.
That would be ludicrous to call up some untested youngster when squad is pushed for injuries etc. The better idea is to try and get the players who won the treble for Barca last year back on form.

Yes it is. Giving a youngster a go in some more 'run of the mill games' is an option.

The team have next to no run of the mill games at moment. Every game is a battle as squad is stretched.
There are no youngsters that should be getting games at this moment. None even close.

Matter of opinion. You want la Masia to succeed then sometimes you have to blood. Games like Rayo next up are opportunities to do so

No if you want La Masia and Barca to succeed then you play the players that have earned the right to be considered.
You dont just throw them in the team for any reason. It has never been that way under any Barca manager. Every B team player has had to earn chances.
Who would you throw in to starting line up?

Look at the Barca b and make your mind up. Grimaldo, Costa, bagnack, palencia are all options as well as of course, bartra. All got to be tested at some time. If you don't agree fine but that's my belief. Try them out. See how they cope. Opportunities will come up

Looking at Barca B there are no defenders even close to first team level or pushing.
Barta has been given chances. Plenty.
There is far too much at stake to just try these players out. The far better thing to do is play your better players and try to get them in to form.

I wouldn't even consider Letting any of Barca B's Centerbacks play against the lower table sides.
They're struggling against Segunda B sides alone, Imagine pitting them against Rayo? it would end pretty badly.This isn't to say the will be Mediocre Forever as they're young and have plenty of time to Develop it's literally throwing them at the sharks this early would do more harm than good.
