don't play him in the classico .. Digne would do much better there. In the classico we need a CB who can pass the ball not one who can clear the ball. We wont be playing a team where Vermaleen would be standing in midfield. they will exert a lot of pressure on the CB in te first 20 minutes with vermaleen there they would score already.

His quality was never in doubt for me, only his ability to stay fit. Let's hope he can make it at least through December and pocket Benzema, while he's at it. Nevertheless, we should go for De Ligt in January anyway, and that would allow Mascherano to move on, if he wants too (he deserves that choice for all his years here in my opinion). Don't really like the idea of getting Mina, if we choose to go that way, Marlon deserves the spot more anyway. Don't see how we could keep Mina and Marlon at the same time, Mascherano's replacement has to be someone from Europe, we can't/shouldn't gamble on two south americans in the same summer.
