He really is. Though he might suit Barca in a 3 man defence. He's a bit like Puyol in playstyle, except worse in about every way.

yeah, except vermaelen doesn't want to play a back up role for another year, that is why he's leaving...

Let's look on the bright side. He's a centre back who will provide us with further needed depth and if Bartra turns into the player we hope he will become then there's no reason that he can't cement a place in the first team.
