Seeing Tek in action against Benfica brought a tear to my eye.

It's not even that he saved everything thrown at him, it's how he commands the box on crosses that i liked. I simply forgot how it is to have a keeper that collects anything that flies.

Furthermore, we see with Tek that having a good shotstopper, with good mentality, is more important than being good with feet. Being decent enough with the ball at their feet can be thought, size can't.

That's not the point. The point is, you don't make strategic decisions because of 90 minutes. With this logic, you would have a team full of bums who managed to play one game on worldclass level.
Szczesny has definitely the potential to get the starting spot next season, but it will depend on how he will perform until the season's end and not on the game against Benfica alone.
Especially because that game suited his style as he mentioned himself and normally we don't defend that deep. Pena held everything against Madrid and Mbappe in the first clasico this season, maybe we should kick both MAtS and Tek then for Pena?

The fact Szczesny is a better goalkeeper should be enough in itself

It was only to be seen if Tek's age will affect his performances but although he's older than Ter Stegen he performs significantly better

And he always was, but like most Serie A players gets little hype
