Considering retirement again, expected.

"Barcelona are considering extending Wojciech Szczęsny’s contract. They're impressed by his attitude and dressing room presence despite the fact that he hasn't debuted yet. The board hopes to keep him for another season if he's open to it.

As per reports from Marca, the club are happy to offer the 34-year-old another 12 months, to stretch his deal on until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Flick is confident Ter Stegen will return to full power, but he wants to retain three senior goal keepers in his ranks, with a decision yet to be made on a renewal beyond 2026 for Pena."

I wonder how long Flick is going to make him and us wait before he debuts him, it's getting too long now.
Evidently, in Flick's politics, he's not an asset but auxiliary. Szczęsny's being content of this role - after all, an interrupted retiree, is of secondary significance.

Szczęsny himself is patient though, he'll wait for his turn. Normally, he rarely disappoints as a substitution material, solidifying his #1 role this way, whereas as an elected preference, not always so good, at least historically.

Pena resembles a can't swim swimmer, who was thrown onto a deep water, sentenced to drowning...but somehow manages to stay above the surface, delighting everybody that it takes so long. Bravo Pena...Still Alive!? Look at that! Who would've thought?! 👏

But everybody sees clearly that this ain't swimmer's body, strokes or qualities, the drowning is inevitable. Only a matter of time before the freak show is over. Sound harsh but that's reality.

Definitely think he should be given a chance. Waiting Pena disasterclass to happen doesnt make any sense. If we lose one more match in Liga before Madrid drops more points, it will be a great trouble.

And in his last few games he wasn't great. Against Zvezda both goals could've done better. Against Sociedad, his shit long ball led to the goal.
