Maybe because they haven't been ruined by Xavi yet. People shat on Eric and once he moved to a real manager there he is rocking it. Romeu another example in another direction.

Eric is not exactly "rocking it" in Girona. They are not where they are because of their defense.

Was never really conviced while watching him this season but ofc playing regularly helps his confidence.

If anything La Masia kids can come into the first team and play with lesser pressure knowing Xavi trust them and fans won't be too demanding on them. For first two and a half games at least then they'll start to sell them like it happened with Ansu, Pedri, Gavi,... Yamal will probably be the next one when he'll have few poor games.

With Balde out but Cancelo back and preferably playing LB. How much does Fort realistically play over the next months?

Cancelo-Christensen-Araujo(Kounde)-Fort may actually end being our best defence.

Meanwhile the whispers of Kounde not liking rightback is emerging again.

Kounde need to be told to get to fuck.

He has been pish at CB and makes major fucks ups every game playing there.

Doesnt have a leg to stand on to demand anything.

The trouble could be getting a decent fee as would think he stock has fallen massively for how he has performed at a bigger club.

Reckon he would be good at a basic EPL team, like he was under Emery before.

See the fees touted for Todibo and while I haven't watched him this season, don't think he would be better than signing Kounde based off of watching him the past few.

So in a nutshell, sign him up again Emery- or United.

EPL teams are starting to reign it in a bit due to Everton getting hit with points ban and more than one struggling to spend.

Maybe Emery takes him again.

Can only hope but cant see any top team doing it.

Almost flawless performance and unlike Kounde, he's decisive and quick thinking no nonsense guy. Kounde is another weed smoking slacker in how he performs with his slow and clueless movement both defensively and in attack. That guy loses the ball at the same rate as Lewsky and Raph, just doesn't know what to do with it, while this lad is scanning the surroundings top notch and been defending consistently without loosing plot.
Just hope Xavi doesn't stay after summer as he will certainly ruin both him and Cubarsi in the long term with lack of proper coaching.

He seems tailor-made for a Balde/Cancelo Fullback pairing.

Good on the ball, Good physical/height profile, and not slow as molasses either.

liked him more than balde, even if lacking physically. much more focused and consistent.
