Araujo is better in games where we want to defend with a lower line, but we've already seen (as has Flick) that the high line stuff is not his game despite how fast and strong he is.

Its far more about game intelligence.

Him staying will be dependent on what kind of deal we could get for him. Even though he's under contract until 2031 if we continue to have FFP issues management will start looking at him amongst FDJ, Gavi etc.

Ideally we would be looking to sign a top CB with ball playing ability and athleticism to pair Cubarsi but probably be low amongst list of other priorities. Replacing Lewa will be expensive and resource consuming, there are not that many elite strikers full stop let alone ones who are available.
