Since he's been at the club he has been present for a large number of historic humiliations and been playing in many of them.
Cubarsi and Inigo so far have hardly put a foot wrong and have been absolutely rock-solid in games against top opposition.
We have had enough time to see what Araujo is, and its clear that his weaknesses when he came to the club are the same as those he has now. He hasn't really improved on the ball or tactically, at this point he is what he is, incredible athlete and incredible 1v1 defender but a tactical liability.
Indeed I was also one of those who had really high hopes for him and defended him for years. But he's the same as he was when he was a prospect.
Indeed, Curbasi and Inigo are ahead of him in the pecking order and I, being one of his supporters here, admitted that much many monthss ago, pages before this. And I don't think he has come out to complain about not being a starter. His being behind those two is clearly not the issue here.
What is detestable here is the glaring double standards and unashamed hypocrisy where he gets shredded for mistakes even committed by others and his contributions to the team completely discounted. I have given many examples where Inigo or Curbasi fluffed their offside lines that led to goals in worse and more embarrassing circumstances than what happened yesterday but everyone goes "pim", however he gets "killed" for a turnover committed by Lewandoski for a goal. Clearly, there is nore to that. It is a lot of people are sniffing around to have something to hang him with. He is still paying for a "sin" committed sometime ago.
For any reasonable and objectiveb person who truly have played the game before or is intelligently analytical, he was good yesterday and he bailed the team out on a few occasions with his pace, almost had a goal and an assist too using his aerial prowess. If that was a Garcia or another mob favourite, there would have been multiola pages praising them as Ballon D'or contenders.
I would have loved you to.be more specific on the "historic humiliations" to address that more though, so I can point out to you some of those being currently praised as Ballon D'or contenders who were also present.
