4 - Ronald Araújo

CR himself would have been proud for that perfectly timed&placed header.

RB is not his position, but it will help him a lot should Xavi decide to play 3 at the back. He'll feel way more relaxed playing that half-position than before.

Yeah, he has no attacking attributes for a right back. Perhaps Xavi wants to have a more passive RB and a more aggressive lb in alba, or it's just the circumstances.

It's circumstances. Circumstances being roberto, dest and meguiza are all wack

Ronald Ara?jo currently charges much less than Umtiti and Piqu?, and considerably less than Lenglet and Garc?a as well. The Uruguayan wants to be rewarded for his performances. [as]

Ronald Ara?jo's contract expires in 2023 and contacts for his continuity have begun. Ara?jo wants to continue, but he puts a clear condition: he wants Bar?a to value him for his actions and propose a contract accordingly, something that has not yet happened. [sport]

He's still on that old B contract salary which is peanuts. Just hope we don't fuck this up.

The salary protocol in the club is disorganized and unfair. Seeing how much some players are earning compared to Araujo, who is one of our best performing players this season. He?s worth more than Roberto, for example. We?ll see how meritocracy plays out in the next few months.

Months? We're still running plenty of fat contracts from Barto's reign. And the leechers don't wanna go. Try 1.5-2 years until the puss is all out.

Biggest offenders are Coutinho and Umtiti. They actually contribute nothing at all, and both still have a contract until 2023. Getting rid of them would be huge.

Griezmann gone (hopefully made permanent this summer), Dembele and Roberto either gone or on reduced wages. Others like ter Stegen and Busi may be earning too much but at least they actually play, compared to Umtiti/Coutinho.

Yeah 1,5-2 years seems more like it, but then it doesn't look that bad unless we sign new expensive bums in the meantime of course

I can see Coutinho leaving for a club of Everton?s stature tbh. Sooner rather than later. Umtiti, on the other hand, will be a complicated divorce. He should train with the B-team from here on out. We may find a club to loan him while we still cover a chunk of his salary. Thanks Barto! 😅

Get these two out, and most of the pus is out imo. Roberto next! I don?t mind him on lower wages, but so far he?s refused to accept a pay cut.

Edit. Imo 3m net is too much for him.
