These stats aren't surprising at all. Puyol is a legend and still our best defender (when fit obviously) IMO. We definitely need Tarzan in order to succeed.

its not even really down to his defending abilities, its the grit and drive that he gives us from the back, he is a true captain.

when he is not on the pitch, masch needs to be, he is the only one that gives us that extra when captain fantastic isn't playing

No doubt Puyol was a fantastic leader and defender. BUT he is alot slower now and will be reduced to cameos against lesser sides.

We need a CB to replace him full time.
