5 - Iñigo Martínez

Yeah Casado passed a bit more. 103 to Inigo 98.

But they both completed 94 passes.

I think Cubarsi was on his way to smashing both though.

But this defensive trident were bossing things out the back. Obviously Red Star are not the toughest team but they have developed a great cohesion.

Gradually, he is going back to his last season form. Maybe it is fatigue or something, but he is caught out of position several times every game.

Our defense hasnt been rested atall. These two have been playing nonstop.

They are bound to be out of form.

Teams are figuring out they can put pressure on him and he can't wiggle his out of it due to age/worse technical ability and vision that Cubarsi. In this bad run of games, he was the one frequently giving the ball away or choosing the bad/safe pass to Balde that trapped him under a press.

I think when Casado drops back to form a back 3, Inigo's pace/poor dribbling prevent him from progressing with the ball up the field. Bad as Araujo is on the ball, he can definitely bomb forward, so I'm looking forward to what he looks like
