Halilovic was bought for money and has been in and around b team Primera longer so there will be more discussion on him.

Doesnt mean anything.

Idtiotic claim to start getting credit for liking him first.

Ok, forget that part.

But still, look at this topic, go to a page no1:

Alena had 9 posts one year ago till June 2015...
(Ok, he played in youth teams, but still)

Lots our youngsters get way bigger and udeserved hype.

He wasn't that recognized until a last few Months and even then (till now, love for him will explode from tonight), a hype was somewhat lukewarm compared to other players.

BBZ tipped them before the game so they were ready, smartphone in hand, not having to stand in line.

BBZ convinced Lucho to play him today. Haters, where y'all at!

Ok, forget that part.

He's been talked about on other threads, I guarantee it.

BBZ, mate, you're better than this. Claiming "firsties" is childish as hell man.

There are posts on here from almost two years ago from people rating him.

Other than that there has not been a great reason to discuss him all that much as not been as visible in b team and generally accepted how good he is.

The players who have page on page usually comes from different opinion and debate.

Think you have it the wrong way round to be honest and the youngsters with loads of pages have not been universally rated.

His playing style is truly of the same DNA as Xavi and Iniesta. I love how this distinct form of central midfielder is almost exclusively Barca developed. Xavi, Iniesta, Thiago, and now Aleña. Even Kaptoum shows it. The way they receive a pass and open up in a single motion, the way they turn, the way they move. The subtleties of their playing style are so unique in football, there are very few non-Barca developed players that really show it. Verratti is the only one that really does, Koke and Gundogan to a lesser extent.

We'll see how he develops this year, it's a crucial point going forward for him. Can't wait to see him with truly high caliber teammates at his side. He was sort of in Ayoub's shadow some years ago. Oriol Busquets and Kaptoum as well to an extent. Now Ayoub's gone and Aleña has surpassed the others, even Lee (though the transfer ban makes it a bit uneven). His generation had a lot of talented youngsters and he's the only one who truly looks like he can come through. He has all the platform to lead the B team, he has Lucho's favor, and he has an abundance of talent.

Btw, Aleña's hand on Messi's leg there   A bit over-excited to be with his hero.

Kid is on cloud number 9.

Impressive show in half an hour he got from Lucho.

I only wonder how will he break in among 9 midfielders we already have...

Good players will always find their way eventually (except if you go to Bayern, like Thiago).

In 2-3-4 years, when he'll be ready, Iniesta will be gone, Rakitic will be slow and tired, Arda will be gone, a hype around Samper will probably go away.
Then you have only Gomes who hasn't played a minute here.
And 3 guys Denis, Roberto and Rafinha, from which Roberto and Rafinha especially haven't proved that they can be true starters.

If he'll continue as well as today in upcoming season, he will surpass other players and in 3-4 years he can be a starter.
If he'll stagnate, well, then, he'll be the same as other squad players.

I am not afraid for young world class players. They'll find their way.
In the cases of Deulo, Grimaldo, Adama and others, they weren't as good as forum thought.
This is why they didn't play, not because coaches hated them.

Well, you know that I "hate" and don't rate ANY of our youngsters from the last few years.
And I had to fight with majority of you during years because we share different opinions about them.

Alena is the only youngster in whom I trust currently, because, I have explained in other topics, I think that a starter for Barca needs to have a full package.
IQ, cojones, technique, tactical knowledge etc
Majority of our kids lack in some area.

Imo, Alena seemed like the only guy with a full package in all areas.
While majority of you see a full package in too many players.

So, my bad, and my apologies for: "I called it" post.
I am truly happy because the only kid whom I love is growing insanely, but insanely well...

So, imagine yourself when you are enjoying in our youngsters, mate.
I haven't enjoy in any youngsters for 5+ years.

This is the first time in lots of years when I am hyped (as you and other guys are hyped all the time) about some youngster and about a future.
So, excuse my post, I was just happy and proud about this kid

He really seems to have every needed skill for now.
Ok, everything can always go wrong.

But today's debut or one of the first matches reminded me of young Messi and Xavi.
I haven't seen too many other young debutantes in the last 20 years who played this good, this calm and with such a flair as this kid tonight in his debut.
Also, he played as if he played 500 matches already in his career.
Just like young Xavi 18 years ago.

So, my bad again, sorry.
But still, he deserves way more hype than Adamas, Grimaldos, Sampers and other players.

Cheers

And Flavia please if possible, make a smiley with Alena.
This kid surely deserves it.

as DonAndres said,Alena wasn't that great from the start,he worked his way into being better every year.he wasn't that good when he was 16 or 15,never mind it isn't really logical to discuss players at that age much

Many players has done that b4,most notable Busquets who at one point wasn't as known and discussed as Marc Crosas ,I would say the last one was Munir.

Geez, the way he played today was as if he was just promoted to the first team, and not Barca B.

We might actually have something special on our hands this time. And I was so close to losing hope

This guy with his talent has 9 pages.
Halilovic with his IQ has 152 pages.

Lee has 68 pages.
Kaptoum has 9 pages...

Half of you guys here are hyping 5-10 young players.
While maybe the best guy doesn't get as much hype as he needs.

Ok, he hasn't yet played for a Bteam, but you get the point.

Samper has 117 pages, with tons of pages even when he was 15 and 16 years old.
Alena didn't get as much hype as lots of other guys...

Absolutely true
