I can see that Aleña is already better than Denis, Rafinha, Gomes and Arda (when he plays in MF). He will also be better than Roberto after one or two year for the first team and Rakitic after 3-4. Aleña just need to grow and we will finally see a midfielder maestro in RCM position again.

Disappointing performance against Cultural Leonesa. He just played like an average player. But he should obviously do better if he wants to survive in the first team. Hope he shows his talents in the upcoming away match.

To an extent he has but performing well in games like this gives him a better case for greater involvement.
There is a lot of crap in that league that performing well against doesnt really mean much so any performances against the better sides will aide his case.
Needs to be better than he was yesterday.

He has all the potential and the tools,probably ahead of the curve,but he isn't yet at the point of his development to be 1st team player. He is almost same age of Thiago in 2010 and Thiago was better talent back then and still didn't get promotion.

Marlon has had far worse matches at Barça B, yet he performs for the first team. Saying Aleñá is suddenly not good enough because of one average match is pretty premature. He has basically been a first team player the entire spring, so naturally it's not easy for him to go back and perform on a great level for a much worse team who got outplayed as well. Whether he gets promoted or not is besides the point.
Looking forward to see how Valverde likes him in preseason. Had Lucho stayed, it looks like he would've tried to convert him to a fucking winger.

Alena is his own case though and Marlon may himself not be ready yet depsite a couple good games.
For increased involvement and better chance of playing the more good performances against better teams at that level the better.

No one is jumping on him.
Just saying he needs to be better at that level than he was the other night to continue to build his case for as much first team chances as possible. That should be expected of every young player every game and despite how well he has done Alena has a long way to go to force regular first team football.

Not much of an argument. Marlon is playing well for the first team but he may not be ready anyways because... reasons.
Marlon was far from the best performer for the B team but when played with the first team squad out of necessity he has performed. Now imagine how players who are in the top 1-2 performers for Barca B would do if afforded the same opportunity?
