Great response to the last semi-disappointing first team performance. You can see he has an aura of ambition and will, that not many youngsters have.
That makes it more possible for him to succeed to the first team in the end!

Messiesque.

Messi would have turned the goalkeeper as well, but you are right - that ability to stay on his feet and just glide pass every incomming opposition-players is quite like Messi :worthy:

He is included in the game for Olympiacos in Greece. Squad list already out. Him and Ortola the Barca B players called up.

So, the complete list of 20 players is: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Ortolá (31), Semedo, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis Suárez, Suárez, Messi, Mascherano (without medical discharge), Paulinho, Deulofeu, Paco Alcácer , Jordi Alba, Digne, S. Roberto, André Gomes, Umtiti, Vermaelen and Aleñá (26).

It is a 20 players squad list, it might depend on Mascherano & Vermaelen medical (Orola will surely be out) ,though Valverde might be planning to put only one of the two anyway

Two will get discarded. One of them Ortola for sure. I don't think both Mascherano and Verm will be in. I think it's likely Mascherano will get the medical greenlight so Verm out I suppose? Or could be the other way around which I wouldn't mind either.

The point is to give him playing time with the first squad. Sitting on the bench wont help him develop, so beeing in the squad list doesn’t mean a thing.

Just remembered Pique is out, so probably both are in unless Masch doesn't get medical green light. may be he would get in instead of Paco or Digne?

I think he is going to play, might even start. Valverde has a problem that requires an urgent solution. Olympiacos isn’t a tough opponent so it’s best to bring him in in a game like this.

What problem? Iniesta injury? He will play Paulinho and Gomes no

He needs someone who can share the burden with Iniesta. Neither Paulinho or Gomes offer that... They’re both box to box players and Denis hasn’t stepped up in midfield either. I doubt he’ll see much play now other than coming on as a wing on the odd occasion.

I’d say it’s between Aleñá and Roberto but we know Roberto is his right back so he needs to look elsewhere and he can’t go to the market at the moment. Hopefully he gets his chance and nails it because he wasn’t too impressive in he Copa.

Tell me a better Segunda A player than Carles Aleña? World class. I didn't know Aleña would reach this level when he was promoted to Barca B. His first year he was sometimes inconsistent and average, but now you can see how good he really is. How he controll the game, passing, movements, vision etc. Way better than Ceballos, Asensio, Llorente, Gomes, Rafinha, Denis, Arda, Rakitic, Roberto and Paulinho. Will be better than Isco, Casemiro and Kovasic about two years, better than Iniesta about three years, and better than Kroos and Modric about 4 years. He's so good that I really enjoying Barca B games because of him and I will keep watch it. Ofc he needa to improve in some aspect, but I'm sure he will kill Madrid in the future. Not saying he will be better than Xavi and Iniesta, but he has something they don't have: shooting from distance and it can be a threat for the opponents apart from his midfielder DNA of course.
