Olmo. When did he return after the injury? October if I'm not mistaken. But even after his return he just doesn't start regularly after that, it's always something with him.

Oh okay, yea I think olmo is a permanent cripple TBH, which explains why is career took so long to take off, we'll always have to manage him while he plays for us imo.

Sure but I thought he'll be like Dembele, plays regularly 2 months and then be injured for 3 and repeat the cycle. But with Olmo there are always problems even when he's supposed to be healthy. Hope he just had bad luck these last few months but it's probably a regular thing with him.

Sometimes it feels like Gavi is a headless chicken that runs a lot but has zero efficiency ratio. He definitely needs to work on that aspect of the game if he wants to progress ant further. Sometimes it feels like he should more worry about he plays instead of looking at how his teammates are playing.

His aggression, tenacity, constant pressing BUT lack of vision/vertical progression/ knowing what to do the ball attacking-wise
makes him the total opposite of Olmo, doesn't?

Necer doubted him for a minute, he's not fully back, but getting there.

Imagine thinking a coach had a choice between gavi vs de jong, and thinking the coach would choose the Dutch man

Has found a nice role floating around that AM space with all the movement from the wings. Liked how he sometimes moved to the right allowing Lamine to come in centre.

That's what happens when you have these guys playing AML and AMR in the development phase- total football.

Lets see how he builds with this as it seems structurally he gives more balance than Olmo.
