All of these fair weather fans need to be remembered. I never seen a player get so much trash tossed on him than what happened to Ferran. A guy who came to Barca at like 22 and was supposed to basically be our main player in the dark days. The guy has been a top talent since Valencia. He will come through because form is temporary and class is permanent.

I like a story of a guy who was about to sink but then comes back to survive.
We'll see how it goes and will he fall victim to media and other outside influences that mess up his mentality.

In the meantime start him over Lewa next week. He deserves it.

There is no chance Xavi drops Lewa for Ferran.

His chance would be the second striker ahead of a 4th midfielder then Gavi deeper and Romeu dropped.

But cant see him even doing that.

He's earned a start for sure.

But still, Eric was our best CB start of last season, with all the stories of working to get stronger over summer, and employed a sports psychologist.

It didn't last. Jury is still out for Ferran.

I think there is less pressure at the start of the season in general. That's why usually many youngsters do good for a couple of games and then fizzle out.

Ferran also doesn't have the weight of being a starter on his shoulders right now. Could be a different scenario if he starts and doesn't score for 2-3 games.

year and half of trash from him but we're so desperate with pushover and xavihorrorball we get excited when he taps in a chaotic goal

as much as his problems have been mental I will admit he's not a retard but we need a higher bar than that regardless of Xavi's standards for other players
