7 - Ferran Torres

I just think that if we were to decline a big offer for a player as limited as he is (with all due respect) we would deeply regret it one day.

We can get good bench options in the market. Most of important goals Ferran scored weren't that hard nor impressive. Flick's system gives you an inevitable chance that you have to wait for. A lot of players will be able to replicate the same output. Just give them confidence, Flick knows to do it well.

But I appreciate what he's doing this season. His impact off the bench has been really good and he saved us a couple times. But be smart guys, you don't decline a big offer for a guy like him. A lot of clubs scammed us in the past few years, we need to learn to do it ourselves to make up for it.

And to be clear I'm talking about an offer of around 60M or so, I wouldn't let him go for less. PL clubs would be willing to offer that just if he keeps up like this and ideally wins something big.

That won't be a problem, we'll get a new forward

What Torres is doing off the bench is, although important and useful, nothing extraordinary or too impressive to think that other players would never replicate it

I doubt Barca think like that.

Plently teams spend similar money or less on players that do less.

Also it is not as easy as some think to get players to move to Barca and be a bench player. Players these days will often chose lesser clubs where will play more.

Torres told Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo: ‘I see myself at Barça. I have a few years left on my contract here and I see myself here. I'm very happy. The coach has confidence in me and that's the most important thing for me.’ The contract between Torres and Barça is valid until 30 June 2027. In the current season, the European champion has scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 32 games.

With Torres, on the other hand, there is little movement. However, the 25-year-old European champion is very clear: ‘Is my contract extension being negotiated? Not as far as I know. There are other extensions before mine. If the day comes when we sit down and negotiate, I would be very happy. My doors will always be open.’
